Don’t you just love my titles of my posts. I usually mention the words somewhere in the post. It is not totally about being stuck on stupid. I just liked the sound of it. Actually I hate having to name a post. Maybe I should just number them. Anyway…….
We were supposed to go camping this weekend. We made reservations months ago and paid for the fees. It was somewhere in Kentucky. My husband cancelled the camp site yesterday. We only get like half the money back. They charge cancellation fees and for the first night.
My son has been sick for the past week. He didn’t go to school for the past 3 days. That is why we are not going camping, going out of town. I don’t want my son to be sick when we go camping. That would not be fun. A virus is going around the school and a lot of kids are out sick, diarrhea, throwing up. They even closed a school over in Alcoa, TN, yeah they make aluminum foil there. They didn’t close our schools, but they sent me an e-mail saying that so many children are sick, that they will not gather the homework to send home. I wanted to get the homework, it will be a lot to make up when my son goes back to school.
Now for a Stuck on stupid photo. I was sitting in my vehicle. My husband went into the Goodwill donation area to donate something to the Goodwill.
It was beside the Dollar General store. I love the Dollar General store because they sell the gum I like to chew, Clorets. I saw this old guy with his truck parked crooked in the driveway. That is where the cars drive. He was just standing there and parked in front of the NO PARKING sign. I guess he can’t read. I took his
picture to put on my blog.

I read this digital photography blog. They give tips on how to take better photos. They had one post about taking pictures of strangers. There is one club on Flickr that people have to take pictures of 100 strangers. You go up to someone and ask them if you can take their picture, or don’t ask……I didn’t ask this guy, by the looks of him, I would not go up to him and say “Hey, mister, I noticed your are parked in front of that No Parking sign and you are sticking out in the road, the part where people drive by…..can I take a picture of you?” Nah, I don’t think I would ask that.
I was reading up on the laws about taking pictures and it says you can take a picture of anybody out in public. You can even take pictures of cops too, they don’t have the right to stop you…..legally….but they might, just because they don’t want a picture taken….especially if they are beating up somebody….but you know that would be when people whip out their camera’s and take video of it and put it on Youtube. If I do see someone interesting, I will take a picture of them, if I can do it in secret.

Interesting about the laws over there… I’ll have to read up on what ours are in the UK.

I want to do the 100 strangers project but to do it properly you have to ask them as that’s the group rule. You’re right though, anything taken in public is fair game. Any time you are in public you can be photographed.
