The weekly photo challenge is Launch
I was going to go outside with a bucket of water and have my son launch the water out of the bucket. But I thought “What if I can’t catch the water in the air, coming out of the bucket. What kind of mess will it make.” Maybe some other time. I went with these pictures. I took them at the balloon race while the hot air balloons were launching into the air.

Lovely photos!
Thanks. I will come to see yours.
the last one is my favorite …
All the balloons up is the sky is something to see.
There’s something magical about watching the balloons lift-off into the sky. The colors are brilliant, lively, just an image of happiness. I haven’t seen it during the day but I saw one at night and it was beautiful. Thanks for giving me an idea. I was wondering what photo would symbolize, “launch.” Have a great weekend.
Use the water idea, or a ballon.
Lovely views, we here in Southampton used to have this every year, but the wonderful council stopped it.
Classic!

No, there were so many people there that we did not even try. I have been on a balloon ride years ago. It was so nice.

excellent connie, so colourful and vibrant!
Beautiful ballons and great for “launch”! The bucket of water is tempting, I can think of nothing for this challenge and have nothing in the old folders of pictures unless I stretch it a bit! The colors are so vivid!
How about a ballon that floats, let it go.
Awesome!
beautiful. nice interpretation
these are great photos – unfortunately this week we had 11 people die in a ballooning accident and that is all i can think of when i see these photos
That was a sad event but this happened months ago and nothing happened here. I read that these balloons crash once in a while. It can be dangerous sometimes.
Very colorful entry for the challenge. It looks like the ballon festival that New Mexcio has. Is it?? We went several years ago and it is fantastically magical.
Good one …

Wonderful photos! We used to live in Bloomington, Indiana, and there was a hot air balloon festival nearby. It is so amazing to see all the balloons rising into the air! Great job capturing the feeling of the moment.
