The weekly photo challenge is Contrast.
One morning, it snowed. The road was all frozen. I like the contrast of the black road and the white snow and ice.
The other day I bought some fresh brussels sprouts. They were still on the stalk, so I cut them all off and put them in a strainer and washed them off. I like the contrast of the solid green with the liquid spray of the water, looking all sparkling and wet.

I honestly thought the ice road was an aerial shot of the wake of an icebreaker boat until I read the text. Very cool shot.
Love the green brussels sprouts.
Green is my favorite color.
Both are great shots. The green of the brussel sprouts is so vibrant, very pretty.
great photos … both so original too connie
Nice texture on the road and ice.
love the brussel sprout shot…
…the water looks very HD ;o)
great post and very contrasting pictures..
especially like the water on the sprouts. Nice blog.
Both great photos!
Fun, unusual submissions! Nice Connie! Makes me want brussels sprouts. Love them!
The brussels sprouts tasted good, but they do smell when they cook.
Weee! For the past weeks, WPC’s are kind of blahs. I love this week because it really gives the participants to show their creativities. You obviously successfully done just that.
Thanks rommel. There are a lot of great photos people have been posting.

I love the patterns in the road and the water droplets. I always look forward to seeing how you will answer the challenge every week.

I went outside to take a picture of the snow. The road was so icy, I was afraid I would fall. That is why I took that picture. It came out neat looking though.
Love both of these Connie!!
Great contrasting job, Connie. I don’t know which one I like best. OK, the brussels sprouts, cuz I’m getting tired of white snow and ice.
I like the green brussels sprouts, because I was so excited when I saw them on the stalk in the store. I never see them for sale like that in the grocery store. I used to get them in Florida at a farm stand, fresh cut from the garden.
I love the contrast of black and white. Road and snow!

I, too, thought the road was an aerial of frozen water or perhaps a salt encrusted shore line. Wonderful way to make us ponder!
Now that you say that, it does look that way.
Beautiful post Connie for contrast
two great shots…i love the sprouts one
