The weekly photo challenge is Near and Far.
I was driving home this morning, after taking my son to school. There is this field with cows. I saw this black cow standing up on this hill or dirt. I turned the car around and parked and took the picture. When I came home and looked at what the photo challenge was “Near and Far”, I looked at the picture I had just taken and said this is a near and far picture.
All the other cows were at the bottom of the dirt hill. You can see the pretty mountains far away too.

Nice! I like your shadow, it communicates with the cow. Somehow, hehehe.
I just noticed that all the shadows point to the cow. Thankyou.

That top shot, with the single cow and the shadow at the bottom, is quite striking!
Usually there is more than one cow at the top but today there was only one.

Connie, You did an excellent job of that lone cow shot!
Thankyou, I like the cow on the hill too.

Funny how things work out. I like the cow on the hill. Now I’ve got the Beatle’s song ‘Fool on the Hill’ in my head
Now I have it in my head too. How about the saying “How now, brown cow.” He does look black though.
I just love the humor of this picture. Your composition is brilliant.
I wonder why it want to be up high. To touch the sky?

Beautiful near and far subject Connie .
Gosh – perfect timing on that pix taking. The cow in the distance looks like it’s posing. Love it …!!!!
