I took pictures of the horses that were in our neighborhood 4 days ago. The baby colt was so cute. He was 3 weeks old.
This rancher opened his gate and the horses went onto his property. He caught them and had them taken away. I wrote about it on the previous post. I made a video of them with the cops standing all around, making sure people did not let them out of the pen. Advocates were standing around yelling that they would take them and put them somewhere safe, but they were ignored.
Here is the video I made and put on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-UTiK7zFsY&list=UUB0jL3Cx5suc4tnQGZPiuWw&index=1
They go to the holding area and then to the Fallon horse auction. People buy them and take them to Mexico to kill them. Some people get them for pets.
Here is an article about what happens to the horses. http://www.propublica.org/article/missing-what-happened-to-wild-horses-tom-davis-bought-from-the-govt

Very sad story, Connie. Thank you for visiting my blog.
I wish I can just buy them all and place them around huge farm area where they can run free. I was shock and sadden when you mentioned that some are killed when they get to Mexico. Great post.
There is a website called theWildHorse protection fund. You can send them some money. They buy the horses at auction and save the horses. They were the advocates that were out there with signs. I heard them saying they didn’t have enough money to save these horses. I have seen these horses come by for months. People are mad that they go into their yards. I just think they are beautiful and wonderful, I put in a rock yard, they don’t come in my yard. They do walk across it though, but it does not make me mad. It makes me mad that the dog walkers let their dogs come in my yard and pee on my bushes. That is killing my new little trees.
