This lady comes to pick up her teenager from school and waits in the parking lot. I notice the dog sitting in the front seat of her car, just sitting there, waiting. Always looking straight ahead. I looked over and noticed the dog had on a pretty nice white knit sweater. It is a poodle and looks pretty good in white.
I usually back up in the back row of the parking lot. Sometimes I get there early and listen to an audio book. I have listened to all the Harry Potter books. Today I took a pack of pretzels and opened the bag and listened to songs on my mp3 player and ate pretzels. I had my Mp3 player plugged into the car radio and had the music loud. My son gets into the car. “What are you listening to? That is awful, turn it down.” He leans over and turns it down. I turn it up. It is Turn up the music by Chris Brown. I downloaded it from the library last week. He didn’t like it. I said “Fine and unplugged my MP3 player. He always wants to listen to the radio. A Rhinna song came on. Shine bright like a diamond”. I hate that song. I turned off the radio. She just keeps repeating the words over and over about shine bright like a diamond. I guess I just don’t want to listen to her anymore. She is back with Chris Brown, the guy who punched her face and beat her up a few years ago. He is the one who threw a chair out a window when he got mad at Good Morning America. She loves him…until he hits her again. His music is good but he is a jerk for beating her up, but she is a jerk for going back to him.
I came home and made steak sandwiches. I bought some thin cut streaks from Walmart. The label on the package said “Tender and juicy.” I fried up an onion and cooked it. Cut the steak up thin and cooked in with the onion. Then I put shredded cheddar cheese on it and put it on a big bread roll and put on Jack cheese on one side of the bread. I put it in the oven to toast and melt the cheese. The steaks were so tough it was hard to chew. So much for tender. I should get that label and take it back to Walmart. It said it was guaranteed to be tender and good. I ate about half of it and threw the other half away.
Tonight at about 11:oo pm, my husband looked out the window and saw a car parked in front of our house with the parking lights on only. It was a police car. Then he noticed another police car parked by our driveway, lights off too. I ran upstairs to look out the window. They were at the neighbor’s house with their flashlights. Then a taxi pulled up and they put something in the trunk. I wonder if the neighbor lady kicked out her husband. She just got married to him a couple of months ago. She never talks to me, but the customer service guy told me she just got married. Maybe they got in a fight and called the police. The taxi left and then the cops left.
Update: I saw the dog today and he actually turned his face. He didn’t have on a sweater today, but I took his picture. He is very tall in that seat.

The poodle looks almost human in his sweater. Nice picture!
When I used to pick my son up from school I had to be careful what music was playing and where I parked. I stalled right by the gates one day, not cool.
I have never been able to cook steak, or any form of beef. It always ends up chewy.
The dog does look human. He just sits there, does not more and just looks ahead and waits. I went over and asked her about him one day. He is cute and she said he is smart.
I just love your running commentaries on life as it’s happening in “Connie’s World”
Thank you so much! You made my day!
