The weekly photo challenge is Textured.
This texture is wet and bubbly as the water comes out of the faucet, over flowing the top of the container.
This texture is sandy, gritty, tiny pieces of shells that have been ground down from the pounding of the ocean waves.
This is the stem of a mushroom. It was strange, it was smooth but it felt like styrofoam and was hollow inside.
My last picture is kind of gross.
This is a tomato worm and it has wasp eggs all over it. The texture of them looks like spun cotton and the worm has these spikes all over it.
It may look gross but it sure has texture and makes you wonder exactly what it is.

It makes me creeped out when I see it in real life. I hate tomato worms on my tomato plants.

Very good especially the first one. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tomato worm so it’s grim but fascinating!

I especially like the tomato worm photo. I grew up on a farm where we raised many acres of tomatoes. Seeing these worms (and leafless plants!) was a frequent sight. I’ve never seen one with eggs on its back. Very cool!

Lots of textures! I’ve never even heard of tomato worms before. Perhaps we don’t have them here (UK).

…are the wasp eggs going to damage the tomato worm?

The eggs feed on the worm and it kills the worm.

When you look at it coming out of the fountain it just looks like water but when you take a picture you see all the bubbles.

I love the purple one. I don’t think we have tomato worms here. next time I pick some I’ll check more closely.
They are brilliant close ups!

These are hard to spot. They hind under the leaves on the stems and they blend in. Look for chewed leaves.
