We went to Death Valley.

My son was out of school for spring break for 2 weeks so my husband booked all of the two weeks for a vacation. He said “Pack 15 days of clothes. I had to pack shorts and jeans and t-shirts and sweaters because I didn’t know if it would be cold or hot. It was 100 degrees in Death Valley. We took our travel trailer and stayed in it. The first place we stopped was in Pahrump, NV because it was not a long trip into Death Valley. We stayed in a nice RV park with full hookup, power, water, sewer for  $25 a night.  The trouble with that place was it was having water issues and most of the time the water was not working. They said they had pump problems and it would be fixed. It was not working most of the time. We had water in our trailer so we used it.

I think the favorite part of the trip was driving in Death Valley. It is huge and it takes all day to drive from  each place to see. I got a nice Death Valley t-shirt and a coffee cup. We drove over to Hidden Canyon and hiked up it. I hiked up a little way and found some shade to sit in and wait for my hubby and son to hike it by themselves. It was 100 degrees and I was hot and did not want to walk uphill so I waited for them.

We went to the visitor center and found a restaurant and ate. It was so expensive. A sandwich was $19 and it came with soggy fries. Yuck. The next day I made sure bring lunch meat and bread to make lunch. We drove to Death Valley to drive Titus Canyon. It is a dirt road, bumpy, rough and steep and curvy that goes through the mountains and a narrow canyon.

This is the road to it. So bumpy. It takes an hour to drive it. IMG_0023 (2)

We come to a place we could pull over in the shade and stopped and made lunch. It tasted so good. I had a ham and cheese sandwich and a root beer. Then we started driving again. The view was getting really good. We saw when some rocks had crashed down on the side so we stopped and got a rock for our yard.

Then the canyon got beautiful, it was narrow and twisting in turning. I had hubby drive up a bit to take a picture. You can see the size.

It gets narrow after you go through that. I made them stand there to get a picture. I think I will make a poster of the picture of them.

We then drove to the Ubehebe crater. It is so windy there. The crater is huge and it is hard to stand by it because the wind blows so hard.

From there we drove back to Pahrumrp, which took a couple of hours. We left for Disney California for the next stop on our vacation.

I love to make videos, cooking ones and legos ones. I like to draw and paint and make crafts and read blogs. I have a Nikon D80. I also use my new Canon Rebel. I don't really notice not much difference in pictures between the Nikon D80 but I bought for the video use. You can not use Nikon to make a video, it is not on the camera.

      1. Yes it is! The bikes stay in the truck until we get to the ghost town… one year we actually ran into a group of bikers that tried to ride the whole way!
