This week the weekly photo challenge is Opps.
I have been knitting a glove for the past week. I watched a YouTube video on how to knit and I watched it over and over and knitted along. When it came to finishing it off where the finger tips are, the woman said just knit it and bind it off. She did not show how to do this on two circle knitting needles. You knit on one side and turn it and knit on the other side. I did not know how to connect the second side to the first so there is a flub in the glove.
See the space at the top on the right hand that is my error. I decided not to finish the thumb off so it is not done. Plus the glove is huge on my hand.
The lady on the video had really long fingers. I knitted mine shorter than what she said to do but they cover most of my fingers. OOPS. Back to starting over. I will look for a smaller glove to knit.
And yet sometimes an error of that sort gives the item a unique personality.

That is true. I could fold over the fingers and nobody would see it. I might finish it. Maybe the second one would be better.

Your oops would be my accomplishment. I admire anyone who can knit or crochet or any of that. Kudos.

Well at least they look nice and warm. 😃

They are warm but I am afraid if I do the other glove that I would mess that one up too. They would match if I did.

It is a lot of time and work to make those. It is a hole at the top. I don’t know how to fix it. Oh well.

Watch You tube, there are lots of videos on how to knit. I want to learn to crochet. Maybe I will take a class at Michaels, they teach it.

It could be made into a mitten! I was taught how to knit when I was a kid, I didn’t do it again until a few years ago, it took me a long time to figure hot to cast on and off.

The circle needles confused me. I don’t think I could do a mitten from this.

I don’t like to kind b/c they are to wiry, and sometimes to long, I like double point kind better, but I hate getting any of it started

Never tried double point kind. I am going to loom a hat next. Those are so easy.
