Fantasy time.
If we were having coffee we would go through this star gate, all blue and spinning. Lights flashing fast all around it. Foggy air, like a cloud in the middle.
A big ramp leading up to it, all covered in crushed diamonds, because you can only get through it if you walk on diamonds. “Like diamonds in the sky.”
I would have a thermos filled with cold McDonalds Frappe coffee and a pocket of Rocky Road Candy bars. (It’s a fantasy, put what ever you want in your Thermos.) We step through the portal and end up on a beautiful beach. The sand is white and shines with sparkling crystals. The water is turquoise with gentle waves. Up in the sky is 3 moons. I say “Don’t go in the water.” Who knows what is in there. As we sit down I take out 2 cups, uncap the Thermos and pour the icy, slushy coffee into the cups. “This trip only lasts for an hour”, I say.
I have been reading this fantasy novel this week, where this ex-cop is a Fae and people and tiny people step out of this light filled tree, who talk to him. They are from another world or plane. The book is called “Return of the High Fae” written by Tom Keller. The book inspired me to think “what if” for my start of my post.
I will tell you about some of my week. It hailed a lot yesterday. My dog started barking like crazy so we opened the front door and went outside. The sky was a dark grey and you could hear thunder. Then the hail was pouring from the sky. Little balls of ice were falling from the sky and hitting and bouncing and covering the ground. It covered the ground, the street, the driveway, the cars. It was coming down hard. I looked over at this little blue spruce tree and it was full of the ice balls that was the size of big white pearls.
I put the picture on Facebook Kolo 8 news page to show then all the hail.
I then got a message from a woman named Becky from ABC World News asking if they could use the picture. I said yes they could. Today I watched Good Morning America and they had my picture up first thing talking about the hail out West. My picture was on GMA.
Isn’t that neat? I am so excited they used my picture for their program.

I have one more thing to talk about. Time goes by fast while we are on this new planet.
I made Shepherd’s Pie and wanted to share with you how to make it. It is so easy and delicious. I bought the 90/10 sirloin ground beef today. I only used a half pound for this. Use a pound if you need to feed more people. I only made it to feed two.
Brown the ground beef and chopped up onion. I sprinkled on garlic salt and pepper. You need 2 cups of hot mashed potatoes. I used a package of instant potatoes. Cook that and mix up 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. and 3 ounces of cream cheese. Mix it all up. I used one cup of frozen peas and carrots and microwaved it with 2 tbsp. water. Make a package of brown gravy. It makes 1 cup but I only put in a little over 1/2 cup in the beef.
Put the gravy in the beef and then the peas and carrots. Then put the beef in a loaf pan.
Put the mashed potatoes on top of the meat.
Then put on 1/2 cup more of cheddar cheese. I used medium cheddar.
Bake in the oven 375 degrees for 20 minutes and take it out of the oven and serve it on a plate. It is so good. My husband said to make that once a week.
Yummy.
Well it is time to go. Let me know how you liked your visit and I will come visit you too.
Go to Weekendcoffeeshare here to join in.
Love the blue spruce picture.

Thank you. Nobody else commented on it. I didn’t know if it would be stupid or not.

No, it wasn’t stupid. I think it was far more interesting than reading a “just the facts ma’am” version that most of us do for our coffee shares.

I loved the little trip into your fantasy world. I’d be happy to meet you there every week for coffee. And how fun your photo got air time.

Maybe we could end up on a different place where we had to sit in a huge bubble for air while we watched comets fly by for an incredible light show.
