I like to sketch. Sometimes I paint pictures. The new year rolled around and I bought this big desk calendar at Dollar Tree for 25¢. I don’t know how they can sell it for that little. The paper cost more than that.
I used to draw things on my son’s calendar. I used to make a new pumpkin drawing in October for each day of the month. I even made a video of each one. I don’t have the video on Youtube anymore. I found them on a backup dvd. I will try to put them all together and put them on Vimeo.
Anyway….I put up the new big calendar and my son said he wants me to draw him a picture each day on the new calendar. He got the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, he loves to read those, so I draw the people on the calendar like the Wimpy Kid book figures.
Today I tried to wake him up for school. He covered his head with a pillow to try to not hear me. He didn’t want to get out of bed. So the picture for the day was him, in bed, pillow over his head.
Yesterday was a picture of a school bus because he went back to school after a long Christmas break. Day one was him playing his Wii computer games all day long. (click picture to see better.)
I told him today that I am not going to draw anymore pictures.
“Nooooooo, I like them.” I will keep it up, but I don’t know for how long though. I might get bored with it.
