Don’t let that thought slip away.

Today I read on WordPress a post about remembering things you think of to post.

It really hit home because I think all the time “That would make a good post to blog.”  Then I later forget about it and I never remember them.  Today I just grabbed some paper and wrote out my ideal about a post.  I will post that one another day, when I can’t think of anything to write.

I also had a great ideal.  My MP3 player is a SanDisk Sansa.  It has a record feature.  When I had a thought about a post, I hit the record button on the Sansa and talked into it.  Now I can forget about it and listen to it another day when I sit down and have nothing to post, I can listen to what I said and type it.

One day I saw a TV show about these people that can remember everything that they ever did.  They can name the day of the week and what they had for dinner.  It is like they file every moment of their life in their brain.  I can’t do that, but I can go back on my blog and read it and pretty much remember what I did for that day.

Heck you could even record it on your MP3 player and save it on a flash drive and listen to what you did everyday, if you wanted to.

My blog is kind of like a journal.  I write about what I did, or think.  When I go back and look at pictures, I can remember what I was doing at that moment.

I like how my calendar picture turned out today.  I drew a Lego guy.

Shopping and Frozen pizza

Today we went to Wal-Mart to pick up one item. We left the store with  $110 worth of stuff.  We walked over for some eye drops and I got a box of stuff to clean my son’s ears.  That was $6.  They say to never put q-tips in your ears, so how do you clean out your ears.  I got this foamy stuff, it says it will soften your ear wax and then you can clean them out with the bulb thing.  Now I only have to get my son to lay down and let me put it into his ears.  He will go “No way, I don’t want that.”,  and I will have to insist that he lets me do it.  Fun, fun awaits me. (That is me being sarcastic, by the way.) So then I go down the aisle with the cooking utensils and I get a bowl and some spoons and spatulas, and I found a brush to brush on butter onto my tortillas.  That is my new thing. I like to butter a tortilla, put it in the microwave oven for 15 seconds and eat it with curry chicken that I make.  I wrote a post about the curry sauce I buy.

Well, we went to the food aisle and bought some food.  I made hubby buy this carton of eggs that was clear plastic, so I could use it for my paint, when I paint my calendar.  Most egg cartons are paper.

I saw this frozen pizza, it is chicken, bacon and ranch dressing pizza.  I bought it.  When we came home, I put it in the oven and cooked it.  We sat down to eat it.  Hubby took a bite and put the pizza back down.  He grabbed a coupon, that came today, for Del Taco.  He left and came back with a nacho platter with cheese and tomatoes and taco meat, all over the top.  We ate that for dinner.

So much for chicken, bacon ranch dressing pizza.  It was not very good.  I don’t know why I bought it.  I hate frozen pizza.  I love Domino’s pizza.  The best one is their new vegetarian pizza.  It is SO GOOD.  I will never buy frozen pizza again.

Here are the pictures I drew on the calendar for the last 2 days.

The 18th is an abstract picture.

The 19th is my version of someone else’s version of Mona Lisa.    (I know it is confusing.  I saw the original by Botero.  I drew my picture out pretty fast, so it is not exactly like his.)

I puffed out her cheeks on photobucket.  I like using their edit tools on photos.  I did it for the blog.  The calendar picture is not so puffy.

Wall Calendar scribbles

I like to sketch.  Sometimes I paint pictures.  The new year rolled around and I bought this big desk calendar at Dollar Tree for 25¢.  I don’t know how they can sell it for that little.  The paper cost more than that.

I used to draw things on my son’s calendar.  I used to make a new pumpkin drawing in October for each day of the month.  I even made a video of each one.  I don’t have the video on Youtube anymore.  I found them on a backup dvd.  I will try to put them all together and put them on Vimeo.

Anyway….I put up the new big calendar and my son said he wants me to draw him a picture each day on the new calendar.  He got the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, he loves to read those, so I draw the people on the calendar like the Wimpy Kid book figures.

Today I tried to wake him up for school.  He covered his head with a pillow to try to not hear me.  He didn’t want to get out of bed.  So the picture for the day was him, in bed, pillow over his head.

Yesterday was a picture of a school bus because he went back to school after a long Christmas break.  Day one was him playing his Wii computer games all day long.   (click picture to see better.)

I told him today that I am not going to draw anymore pictures.

“Nooooooo, I like them.”  I will keep it up, but I don’t know for how long though.  I might get bored with it.
